YOUR DAILY ROUTINE  He gets up at four in the morning, tells his wife of his dreams during the night, almost always dreams of molecules. At six am he goes for a walk in the park closest to his home for an hour, organizes himself, has a healthy breakfast and leaves for his laboratory to continue investigating vaccines. At noon, he goes out to lunch with his wife and younger son.  WHAT IS HIS/HER HOUSE LIKE? His house is very large and comfortable, country type located in the calera, has three levels, the first consists of dining room kitchen, patio clothes, meadows and garages. The second level consists of 4 rooms, all with private bathroom, a study. In the third level is located the studio, a small laboratory, library and a playground, recreation area.

WHY YOU THINK IS THE MOST INFLUENTIAL COLOMBIAN PERSON   I consider that Manuel Elkin Patarroyo is the most influential colombian, because he invented the first synthetic vaccine against malaria, thus helping to save billions of lives.

MANUEL ELKIN PATARROYO ( THREE NOVIEMBRE 1946) PORTAL 1: PERSONAL INFORMATION Manuel Elkin Patarroyo (November 3, 1946) is a Colombian immunologist. It is  recognized for developing a vaccine against malaria without success so far, to disease transmitted by mosquitoes that affects millions of people in the third world every year He was born in the municipality of Ataco in the department of Tolima in Colombia with 13 brothers. He finished his baccalaureate studies at the José Max León school in Bogotá, Colombia. He entered the Faculty of Medicine of the National University of Colombia where he obtained his degree in 1971.
